VMWare Fusion is a virtualization software from VMWare which provides seemless desktop integration. It allows the applications running inside a virtual machine to run with its own window on the host desktop disguising as a native host application. This feature is called unity view.

 in the above image windows media player and calendar application of windows are present on the MAC OS desktop. Normally, when we run application in virtual machine they are should only on virtual desktop not on host desktop.

VMWare fusion is based on VMWare workstation and allows a user to run any x86, x86_64 operating system on Mac OSX.
