I’m starting a basic photography workshop which will help the photography enthusiasts to learn, develop and nurture there photography skill sets. One of the most important skill of photography is to understand the way the light is manipulated using your camera. Everything related to light can be modulated using your camera setting. Now lets start with the basics.

Photography is the process of making pictures by means of the
action of light. It involves recording light patterns, as reflected from
objects, onto a sensitive medium through a timed exposure.
Types of Cameras
TLR
• Twin Lens Reflex
• Also called Compact, rangefinder cameras
• “two-eyed” cameras such as the classic Rolleiflex.
• Viewfinder image matches image size on film.
• No viewfinder blackout during exposure.
But
• Parallax is a problem at close distances.
• Most don’t haveinterchangeable lensesSLR
• Single Lens Reflex.
• WYSIWYG- What you see is what you get
• Choice of lenses
• more accurate focusing
• Ability to see the depth of field (DOF)DSLR
• These are the digital version of the SLR’s where you don’t need a film.
• The ISO level is measured with respect to camera and not your film.
