Sony Vaio FW and SR series show up

Sony Vaio FW and SR series has shown up on Circuit City’s site. Apparently, photos of the Sony Vaio FW and SR series have appeared on Circuit City’s website. According to the Circuit City page, the black laptop pictured is the VGN-FW140E/B model, and is priced at $1599. The white laptop pictured is the VGN-SR140EB, and doesn’t have a price listed. The FW version will sport a 16? display, while the SR will have a more conservative 13.3 inches.

These VAIO laptops are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform with Core 2 Duo “Penryn” 45nm processors. The Sony VAIO FW is a 16.4? multimedia-oriented laptop, replacing the FZ series, accordingly. The listed FW models have 3GB or 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and Blu-Ray Disc drives in select models.
