Lenovo’s 8.9-inch S9 netbook

Lenovo has revealed more information of its upcoming netbook models, the 10.2-inch IdeaPad S10 and 8.9-inch IdeaPad S9. Both netbooks will launch in the China market in September with availability likely in October, according to the company.

The IdeaPad S9 includes an 8GB SSD while the S10 has an 80GB hard drive. Both will feature an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB memory, Express Card slot, two USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and webcam.

Both models use the same industrial design and have a keyboard that is only 15% smaller than a traditional keyboard. Additionally, both models feature an LED backlit panel, weight around 1kg, and will be offered with either Linux or Windows XP.
