After making R15, India’s only super sport 150cc bike Yamaha has not slept or become complacent with their achievement.

They has released FZ16: A TORQUE GOD as they say. You should see the performance numbers to know for yourself what we mean by torque god. It makes 14Nm @ 6000 RPM of Torque which is second best in 150cc segment only bested by R15.

To give you a perpective it is almost 1Nm more than Apache RTR FI. That’s not the end you get a peak power of 14PS @ 7000 RPM.  Though Apache RTR has 15.2 PS of peak performance, It is achieved at  8500 RPM which is 1500 RPM more than YZ16. 

So, in city riding FZ16 will be breeze to ride.

Engine: Engine painted with black and a Yamaha logo in the side makes it look upmarket.

Rear Suspension: rear suspension is massive mono suspension. you need to see to believe it. it is big and give a very macho feel to the big. This will definitely help you in cornering.

Muffler / Silencer: The muffler is an irregular shaped tapered type mid-ship muffler. it is very unique in its class.

Massive Rear Tyre: The rear tyre is India’s first radial tyre with a 60% aspect ratio. Both the front and rear tyres on this model are tubeless type that are less susceptible to sudden flattening should the tyre be punctured.

Multi-reflector headlight: The bulb’s illumination and the type of light unit employed gives greater freedom of design. This creates an aggressive-looking front view and the transparent lens gives this unit a highly stylish image that accentuates the character of the model’s ride.

Fuel Tank: 12-liter fuel tank with uniquely styled plastic resin cover. It looks very muscular.

Full LCD meter: The meters on the FZ16 are installed in a Full Liquid Crystal Display. The speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and other indicators are set in optimum position to keep the field of vision clear. Also, the engine starting signal is an example of the spirit of innovation.

Front Disc Brakes: At the front, a large 267mm disc brake is adopted. The two-pot caliper makes full use of the outer perimeter of the disc to provide strong stopping power. The optimized specs of the operational parts provide a high-level of balance, excellent initial braking performance and good operational touch. This disc brake is as big as Apache RTR’s or ZMA (Karizma) for that matter.
