Mr. Bill Gates has said that “Windows 7″ next version of Windows should be available in next year. This seems to be speedy release of next version given that Vista took 5 years to release. Is this fast release due to lack of interest on Vista from public or its a genuine release?

On a different note there is post on internet about what Microsoft is going to do new in Windows 7. It is said that Microsoft will do away with backward compatibility on the core of the OS. Older applications will the supported using Virtualization technology something like this.

It is yet not know whether Mr. Bill Gates was referring to beta version of the product for testers or final release for the consumers.
