Microsoft Windows XP days counted

Windows XP is going to be discontinued from June 2008 and will not be available to retail customer or OEM. but, if OEM is planning to use it in low cost laptops like Eee PC then Microsoft will show them green flag and will provide them with necessary copies till June 2010.

This green signal to OEM’s in low cost laptops segment is due to inability of Vista to run in constrained environments and fiery competition from Linux.
