AMD reveals its future server lineup with support for DDR3
May 24th, 2008 | By Premnath Sah | Category: TechnologyAMD will be releasing its 45nm server processors codenamed shangai in the second half of this year featuring hypertransport 3.0, instruction per cycle enhancement, L3 cache bumped to 6MB form 2MB.
Istanbul - 6 core processor should be released in second of next year (2009) and it should fit in F1 socket.
AMD will unveil 3rd generation of Opteron processors (G34 Socket) with AMD RD890 chipset supporting DDR3 and non coherent Hyper Transport 3.0
First half of 2010 should see 2 new processors San Paolo - G34 Socket 6 core processor with additional Hyper Transport 3.0 link. Magny Cours - G34 Socket 12 core processor.
