It is a romantic, emotional, feel good movie. As Director Gautham Menon said in interview to Hindu, It indeed is a tribute to father but not in the line of thavamai thavamirinthu. Surya and Simran’s acting does needs mention in any review, they have been competing to be as realistic as possible. Director Gautham Menon has done a spendid job of making the movie very realistic and you can relate the events to your life.

The movie ended with applause. I have rarely seen people applauding.
