With Sony reducing its PS3 price to $299 and Microsoft reducing XBOX 360 price to $299 (+$50 mail-in-rebate). now its Big N’s turn to reduce the price of its console Wii. This price drop come into effect from September 27th.

Sony’s bombshell announcement in a press conference in the new PSP “PSP-3000″. PS3 is a cool high end gaming machine featuring Cell processor with enormous processing power. It will be good to use PS3 as development machine.

Only disadvantage of using PS3 is amount of available memory (256MB). People at IBM have written a good article on using PS3 as a development workstation by installing Fedora into it.
